Facing the truth
Is my pearl beyond price:
It lights up my darkness,
And eases my dread.
Speaking the truth
Is my pearl beyond price:
Jesus will help
When my courage has fled.
Living the truth
Is my pearl beyond price:
This is the future,
Which beckons, ahead.
The kingdom of heaven is like a merchant’s search for fine pearls. When one pearl of great value was found, the merchant went back and sold everything else and bought it (Matthew 13:45-6; TIB).
