We have heard for ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Messiah, the Savior of the world (John 4:42; HNV).
This post answers the question, “Who is Jesus?”, using Christ’s own words as a basis for quiet reflection:
I am the resurrection and the life (John 11:25; NLT).
I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6; NLT).
I am the gate for the sheep (John 10:7; NLT).
I am the bread of life (John 6:35; NLT).
I am the living bread that came down from heaven (John 6:51; NLT).
I am the vine; you are the branches (John 15:5; NLT).
I am the light of the world (John 8:12; NLT).
I am the Good Shepherd (John 10:11; NLT).
You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that’s what I am (John 13:13; NLT).
I AM (Mark 14:62; NLT).
I AM the Messiah! (John 13:9; NLT).
I am the Son of God (John 10:36; NLT).
When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will understand that I AM he (John 8:28; NLT).
I am the bright morning star (Revelation 22:16; NIV).
I am the First and the Last (Revelation 1:17; NLT).
I am the living one. I died, but look – I am alive forever and ever! (Revelation 1:18; NLT).
