Nothing but your love

We were born but yesterday and know nothing (Job 8:9; NLT).

May I know nothing but your love,
Before my birth, in life,
And after death;
Seek nothing but your narrow gate,
See nothing but your perfect light –
Because your way is best.

May I want nothing but your wine,
Before my birth, in life,
And after death;
Need nothing but your living bread,
Crave nothing but your perfect truth –
So I may serve afresh.

May I fear nothing but your fire,
Before my birth, in life,
And after death;
Bear nothing but your healing pain,
Find nothing but your perfect peace –
Then I will share your rest.

With his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5; KJV).

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you (Isaiah 26:3; NLT).

My soul finds rest in God (Psalm 62:1; NIV).
